About the Event
U.S. Senate candidate Josh Turek will visit downtown Orange City this Sunday afternoon, March 1. An Iowa state legislator who represents the reddest seat held by a Democrat in Iowa, Josh was born with spina bifida after his father was exposed to Agent Orange in Vietnam. Josh overcame 21 surgeries by the age of 12 and eventually represented the U.S. at four Paralympics, winning the gold medal twice for Team USA.
Josh was initially elected to the Iowa House by a margin of just 6 votes. Two years later, he won by a 5-point margin in a district Trump took by 8 points—re-elected not only for his work ethic, but because he’s developed a reputation as a common-sense, bipartisan legislator.
