The 2026 Midterm Election is fast approaching. Leading up to this important day in our nation’s history will be key dates for early, absentee and in-person voting. This page is available to you as a trusted resource for election-related information and events. Once our party’s nominees have been selected, you will also find candidate information here as well.

IMPORTANT 2024 DATES TO REMEMBER:
August 27 - First day to request an Absentee Ballot
September 2 - Sioux County offices will be closed for Labor Day
September 19 - Satellite voting petitions must be submitted no later than 5 PM
October 16 - Early voting at Election Office, Absentee Ballots mailed
October 21 - Last day to request an Absentee Ballot. The request must physically be in the Sioux County Election Office by 5 PM. Voter Pre-Registration Deadline is also 5 PM. All additional voter registrations after 5 PM will need to use the same day voter registration procedure.
November 4 - Last day to vote early in person for general election
November 5 - Election Day – Polls open 7 AM – 8 PM. Absentee Ballots must physically be in the Sioux County Election Office by 8 PM; postmarks do not count or surrendered at polling location
